Start Sprouting! Broccoli Sprout

  • sprouts1

The best sprout is definitely Broccoli Sprouts. 3 days old broccoli sprouts contain 10-100 times higher levels of SULFORAPHANE which is the super anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer chemicals. Please visit GreenMedinfo. com for more details.

Here’s the benefit of sprouting. Take a look at this article & Dr. Mercola’s article 1 and 2.

If you would like to do other methods, you may read these ->  the basics about sprouting and video tutorials sprouting broccoli sprouts & sprouting using a mason jar. I use the mason jar method and I do this (short video) to triple the sulforaphane content in broccoli sprouts once you harvested in a week. You can buy the good organic Non-GMO seeds on Amazon (Food to Live) or from Sprout people.

You just need water, plus:
1) a container to grow (pick one method)

  • Mason Jar and Strainer Lid Method (order this Lid for wide mouth mason jar) – I use this method.
  • Easy Sprouter Method (You need this if you are making a spicy mix like Nick’s Hot Salad Mix, or Spicy Mix Sprouts because some of the seeds are so small to clog the holes on sprouter tray. Otherwise, sprouter tray is great) – This is another method I have used.
  • Sprouter Tray Method

2) a Salad Spinner

3) some seeds*:
Leafy-Sprouts
Broccoli Sprouts (organic)
Sampler kits

I grow all mixed seeds – Italian Blend, French Garden, Mother’s Mix, Nick’s Hot Sprout, mix with San Francisco and Peasant beans mix. Very easy to grow and fun to eat with wrap and good for you! When you are done with phase 2 detox, try adding super probiotics to boost your gut flora (good bacterias to grow) but not now. You need to let the bad flora to die (or move from your gut) first. You do not want to grow the bad bacteria, do you? A lot of people make this mistake and end up growing bad bacterias in SI (small intestines calls SIBO).

I like sprouting because there’s no mess, easy, good yield ( one tablespoonful of seeds grow a full large mason jar-full of sprout), and most important point is good for your health!

*NOTE: Stay away from “microgram” ordering seeds. At least I have not have any success growing microgram using any growing methods. Those are grown in soil and grow mold easily. You do NOT need to worry about that for sprouting!
