I often see two food chemical sensitivities are the underlying root cause of mysterious signs and symptoms my patients present. These two are next to Histamine. Food phytochemical sensitivities people developed over a long time and/or some “event” triggered these sensitivities to occur. It is like a virus in the sense that it is a nice and quiet dormant stage but something “triggers” these chemicals to get activated like a switch “ON” from the “OFF” state most of the time. I have one patient came to see me for the pelvic floor “burning” pain for the last 5 months. She had on and off before but never intense and long like this time. She has seen multiple specialist M.D., practitioners, and has been seeing pelvic floor specialist physical therapists for the last 2 months but no progress. She did not want to text the oxalate level because it is not covered by her insurance so that I suggested to do high oxalate foods elimination diet after checking the Oxalate Toxicity site on my website. She told me that “Not sure from your treatment or the diet I am on but I have been having less pain last two weeks.” This patient had so much pain to sit on the chair or driving. I am glad she is started having less pain but also she is able to get out of taking depression medication. It is very depressing to think about living with the pain all her life because there is nothing working. Think beyond what you have told!
Patients come to see me for all kinds of pain, palpitation, eye soreness, mood swings, insomnia, hot flashes, weight gain, digestive issues, chronic UTI, pelvic floor pain, tinnitus, hives, etc. you name a few and very difficult to connect dots. I will expand writing more about this topic because people are seeing the specialist to another specialist but not getting any relief.
