How to prepare for getting Covid-19 vaccination (1 and 2)?

January 28th, 2021. I have just got my first vaccination (Moderna) at Gillett Stadium this afternoon. The last time I got a vaccination was 20 years ago when I was accepted at the graduate school. Taking this vaccination was a big decision.

I know the fact Fenway park will be opening up soon but where are you going to park? Are you going to take T or MBTA bus and train? Probably not. Driving, even on a snow day, took me only 35 minutes from Arlington to Foxboro.

This is their main website for booking an appointment and

This is the organization handling the online registration.

Phase 2 Eligibility List

Vaccinated at Gillett Stadium:

If you are going to get the vaccination at Gillett Stadium, please read -> The sign was clear where the Gillett Stadium was but at the first sign of the “vaccination site” sign, I got totally lost. The best thing other than looking at the map CIC sent you the night before is to look for the tall building “Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel”. The entrance to the vaccination site is right there! I was at “The Patriots Hall of Fame”. You should not go too early. They will not let you in until 15 min. mark. The line moves very quickly. I have to say easily 30 people giving the shot one after another. He asked me questions like “are you pregnant?’ I said “I am 63!”. Are you black or Hispanic? I said “am I look black or Hispanic? I am 100% Asian”. He said “are you overweight?” I said, “I only weigh 110 lb”. We laughed at the desk. I even did not feel a shot going in.

The thing is you need to get the “second vaccination registration (Pfizer 21 days, Moderna 28 days waiting period needed) using “how-to” card” along with your Vaccination Record Card. I asked the person who gave me the vaccination where I can book for the second shot. He simply said you can do it online just like you did for this one so that I went home. Very wrong!!! I tried to register in 4 weeks by going to the site I registered today’s shot is only showing the next 5 days of registration days 1/28 – 2/2). I need to book an appointment exactly 4 weeks from the first shot! I found the customer service to book the second vaccination on the CIC site (you will get an email from them the night before – I got mine at 9 pm). I waited 75 minutes. Yes, long 75 minutes. That’s how many people are CALLING to book the second vaccination exactly 4 weeks from the first vaccination. It was longer than I waited to talk with the immigration and the insurance company!!! At the time I finally able to talk with the rep, I had only 2 openings left that day. I have just made it. Please do not make the same mistake I made. If you do NOT receive the “how to book your second vaccination” card, you should ask somebody before you leave the building. They have not organized the part yet. I asked three people but they ONLY know what they are supposed to do. Make sure you have the picture of your insurance card, both the front and the back) saved. You need to upload two pictures after answering the same questions you answered for the first registration for your vaccination.

  1. Preparation #1: Take Thuja 30C pellets 3 days before you go to get the shot and take it the day you got it. It may help you from NOT getting the unwanted side-effects. It seems Moderna has a fewer side effect based on what heard from my classmates, and friends who are in the medical field for last 3 weeks. Thuja is one of the well-known homeopathic medicine used as the prevention for unwanted side-effects from the vaccination. You may read this article. You can purchase Boron or other homeopathic pellets at any healthfoods store or online. My favorite is PEKANA (from Germany) liquid Thuja but this one is hard to find.
  2. Preparation #2: Take Vaccine Detox Herbal Extract from Earthley.

  1. NAC, Vitamin D, Quercetin, Zinc Citrate, etc… Try your best to protect yourself as much as you can.
  2. Vitamin D (please read this letter!) s very important. Still, up to date, many conventional doctors do not think it matters and the marker level 32 is efficient. The Functional (Optimal) range is 55-75. I have been telling all of my patients for easily 7 years after I started the training in Functional Medicine. If you are not taking vitamin D, start taking it and get tested. Most of the insurance companies cover the cost.
  3. Green Tea called Benifuki – cha (tea): This type of green tea grown in Japan contains the highest amount of Catechins which is a strong immune booster. People in Japan drink Benifuki-cha to avoid having a seasonal allergy in the early spring. I used to purchase the organic form of this tea whenever go to Japan but I found you can get it online like Amazon these days. It tastes mild, not bitter. At least I wanted to mention to you! I have been drinking this tea all day long. Here are some of the online links. Naturita’s – 18 packets, and articles – 1. What is Benifuuki tea?, NIH study, Japan’s allergy-fighting green tea

The next day update: My arm was a little sore but I can not say it is pain. I am feeling great. Three days after the first vaccination, I am feeling great!

and

4 weeks later getting the Moderna vaccine: my 2nd vaccine update:  My arm was sore but not bad as the first time. I did not get any symptoms 12 hours later so that I ended up working the next day. I was perfectly fine.
