Tamie’s Breakfast

Just 5 minutes of assembly work like at the chemistry lab. I thought I should share with you because it really fills up my stomach at least 5 hours w/o crushing energy. Definitely takes no time to make, easily ordered online and at the market (yogurt & cereal).

Base – Protein Powder, D/F milk, D/F yogurt, or Basil Seeds (swell up within a few minutes. It has A LOT of benefits includes stabilize the blood sugar level) My favorite is Kite Hill Unsweetened Almond Greek Yogurt (thick and creamy). I recommend you buy the larger size!

Nuts and Seeds – 3 pecans and 3 walnuts and 1 tbsp slivered almond, a few pine nuts, hemp seeds (2 heap tsp), ground 2 tsp of flax seeds.
Fruits – I put organic blueberries or pomegranates – have a LOT of benefits!!!
Powder – 1 tsp MCT powder, 1/2 tsp organic Ceylon cinnamon powder
Sweetness – 2 tsp maple syrup or 1 tsp of local honey
Cereal or Granola – 1/3 cup of Sunrise Crunchy Honey. I sometimes make my own (My digestive system dislikes oat so that I can not use most of the store-bought granola)
You will feel full for easily 5 hours with this breakfast. (My breakfast time is at 8 am and I usually work until 2 pm seeing patients in my clinic. I do not crave sugar neither.)
These are the links that I use:
Basil Seeds (especially good for losing weights and balancing your blood sugar level)
Hemp Seeds – a lot of benefits
Flax Seeds – make sure you purchase organic
Ceylon Cinnamon Powder – Ceylon is able o “stabilize” blood sugar in the optimal range. The PERFECT food to be added to your breakfast.
*** Flax Seeds – Make sure you gound just before you make the breakfast because it gets rancid VERY quickly means you lose the benefits of having these wonderful seeds. Flax seeds are great for Estrogen Dominance women (most of my patients are including myself!)
