We eat plenty but why we are starving?

As the variety and availability of food increases, the quality in contrary drops.  We as a nation simply do not consume enough fresh fruits and vegetables.  Many of us get whole grains from consuming refined wheat breads, pastas, cereals, and instant rice.  But the reality is that refined foods are not providing our bodies with the nutrition we need to be healthy.

Wheat kernel comprises of starch and nutrient-rich bran and germ.  During the refining process, bran and germ are removed, resulting in primarily empty starch aka flour.  Processed flour is then bleached to improve the appearance and texture of consumer goods.  The final result is the longer-shelf-life, nutrient-deficient consumer products on the supermarket shelves.

Furthermore, here are some typical “foods” commercially available in all grocery stores and restaurants:
•        Microwaving
•        Food coloring
•        Flash freezing
•        Genetic engineering
•        Synthetic additives
•        Preservatives
•        Hormones and antibiotics
•        Harmful chemicals and metals

Not only does this “food” have insufficient nutritional value, it may also contain toxins which work against your body and your health.  In contrast, whole foods that have not been altered or contaminated contain genuine nutritional components your body requires to heal and/or maintain resilience.
